A juicy, fall apart chicken with incredible flavour — no oven needed.
Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken (1.5–2kg)
- 1 onion, quartered
- 1 lemon, halved
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp mixed herbs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt & pepper
Method
- Place onion, lemon and garlic in the slow cooker.
- Mix all seasonings and rub over the chicken.
- Sit the chicken breast side up on top of the aromatics.
- Cook on LOW 6–7 hours or HIGH 4 hours.
- For crispy skin, grill for 5–8 minutes after cooking.
- Rest before carving.
