A fast, flavourful midweek dinner with tender beef and crisp veg.

Ingredients

  • 400g beef strips
  • 1 red pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Black pepper

Method

  1. Mix soy, oyster sauce and honey; set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a wok and sear the beef until browned; remove.
  3. Stir fry onion, pepper, garlic and ginger for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Return beef to the pan and pour in the sauce.
  5. Cook for 1–2 minutes until glossy.
  6. Serve with rice or noodles.
