A rich, slow simmered meat sauce that never goes out of style.
Ingredients
- 500g beef mince
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 carrots, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp tomato purée
- 1 tin chopped tomatoes
- 200ml beef stock
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp basil
- 1 tbsp oil
- Salt & pepper
- 300g spaghetti
Method
- Fry onion, carrot and garlic in oil until soft.
- Add mince and brown well.
- Stir in tomato purée, herbs, tomatoes and stock.
- Simmer for 30–40 minutes.
- Cook spaghetti and serve with the sauce.
